Hospitalist
Hammad Shaikh, M.D., is a board-certified family medicine specialist who joined Inland Physicians Medical Group in 2019. Dr. Shaikh is a member of several professional associations, including the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Family Physicians. He is affiliated with several hospitals in Montclair, Chino, Pomona and other surrounding communities.
Dr. Shaikh is an alumnus of Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois. Before earning his Doctor of Medicine degree, he graduated from Loyola with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2009. Certifications include Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO).
Prior to joining Inland Physicians Medical Group, Dr. Shaikh was a physician in the Family Medicine Program at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio. While at St. Vincent Mercy, he conducted research on vital subjects such as reducing readmission rates for patients experiencing COPD exacerbations. Dr. Shaikh has also delivered presentations on several topics, including inpatient management of diabetes, mechanical thrombectomy in stroke patients and evaluating sudden onset chest pain. Through such research and ongoing study, he contributes to developing crucial knowledge in the fields of family and internal medicine. This knowledge is key in treating cardiac illnesses, pulmonary disease and other critical conditions.
